Half Marathon!!
In the spring I set a goal. I decided I was going to run a half marathon. My mom helped me find a training schedule and a half marathon to sign up for. I started training in April and I ran my half marathon on July 9th. I ran the Hobbler Half in Spring ville. It was a really nice downhill course in the canyon. I would definitely run it again and I think it's a good thing that I enjoyed my first half marathon. (I can see myself doing more) My time was 1 hour and 59 minutes. My mom ran it too but she was far ahead of me. We stayed with my Uncle Jake who lives just around the corner from the finish line. I couldn't have done it without my dad, Jake and my mom cheering me on. My new goal is to work on my speed for cross country so I can make the varsity team again this year.

Summer Activities
This summer im babysitting my brother and sister while my parents work. We have lots of fun together and I love being able to play with them more now that im not at school all the time. I also have a lifeguarding job at Crystal Hot Springs waterpark. I really love my job and I like having extra money without having to ask my parents for everything. I also am still swimming on the Box Elder Swim Team. I love it and my favorite stroke is butterfly. So far my summer is pretty low key but im enjoying it.

Swimming Quote
"It's been told that swimming is a wimp sport, but I don't see it. We don't get time outs in the middle of a race, in the middle of a race we can't stop and catch our breath, we can't roll on our stomachs and lie there, and we can't ask for a substitution." ~Dusty Hicks

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!!
Well thats about all I do is swim. My schedule goes somewhat like this. Swim, eat, school, eat, eat again, swim, eat, homework, eat, maybe have time to sleep and then start over again! I swim for at least three hours a day five days a week and our coaches say we need to eat at least six times a day.
I really love swimming and I'm glad I'm on the team. We are still at the beginning of the season since it doesn't end until the middle of February. We have won 4 of our meets and lost 1. The other one was an invitational andI'im not sure how that goes into our rankings because we didn't win or lose. Im just not really counting it.
I am learning a lot and I am setting some new goals hoping to get faster and faster at each meet!

My Favorite Quote/ Running Motivator
" Running is a thinking sport and we're all insane. We run faster than your mascara, our workouts are alot longer than our shorts. The gun goes off and I am the bullet. "
At everyone one of our cross country meets the team captains give us a quote to help motivate us and this is my favorite one so far.

First Cross Country Meet!
Well my first cross country meet was last Friday in Malad. It was an invitational so there were lots and lots of schools there. I was a little nervous for my first race on the high school team but twenty six minutes and eighteen seconds later I was crossing that finish line and I was glad I had ran it. It wasn't the best 5k race I have ever ran but it was my first cross country race and I finally understand why its called cross country. Your not just running down the side of the road. We ran through and dead chopped down corn field, through a parking lot, across the lawn, on a trail that had gopher holes down the middle of the trail, and along the side of the road. I learned that in cross country you pretty much just run no matter what the trail is like.

Cross Country Here I Come... Hopefully.
So on the Fourth of July I ran the Honeyville Fourth of July 5k Freedom Run. I ran it with a time of 24:57. Well a guy from our ward who was helping with the race was really impressed and told my parents that he was going to talk to the Cross Country caoch about letting me join the team. Well today one of my friends told me that the team had a meeting and talked about me joining and they all wanted me to join. So she asked me if I would like to be on cross country with them! So hopefully I will be on the cross country team and the swim team in highschool.

My baby brother! :)
Well, Carson is my " baby brother" only he is 3 now so he is not really a baby anymore. Well, he has a habit of coming up to me and says "Mom will you come get me milk or mom will you read me a story." I giggle and then reply "Well Carson I am your sister but of course I will" he then says " No eese you my mom" and I said " Carson do I look old enough to be your mom?" then he smiles sweetly and says " Uh huh" so I figured I wasn't getting anywhere with arguing with a 3 year old he is pretty set on me being his mom. Ha ha. I am glad I have a baby brother like him. He will always be my "baby boy" ( as a jokingly call him") even though he isn't a baby. :)

Favorite School Subjects!
Well I am going to tell you about what my favorite school subjects are and why.
I like Math, Language Arts, Spanish, and History the best.
So first of all I will start with Math.
This year I am taking Algebra. So a few days before school started I was thinking about what there was about school to be excited for. Well my mind just kept thinking over and over about Math and how excited I was for that class. I love how all the numbers and functions work so well together and it all fits together like a giant puzzle.
Next is Language Arts, I like to spell always have and probably always will. Learning how to spell new words excites me. I also like to read.
Moving on to Spanish. I enjoy learning a new language, I also like communicating with my parents in Spanish and then I think it is funny when Jensen has no idea what we are talking about.
Finally History , I like learning about our country's past, what the people did and the different inventions so that is why I like History.

First few days of school!
Well, school started on Monday and it is really different being in a new school. For the most part it is fun but somethings I like better and some things I miss about ACYI (my old school).
So some things I like are :
So some things I like are :
- The principal allowed the custodians to blast rock music in the cafeteria during lunch.
- I LOVE my classes.
- I like my teachers some are funny, some treat us like kindergartners and others make class more worth the while.
- One of my best friends is my locker partner so that's good.
- I have some ninth grade friends that are in my ward that help me out when I need it and one of them is in my Advisory class.
Here are some things I don't like:
- This really annoying kid that about gets sent to the principal everyday because he won't be quiet and insults teachers is in three of my of my class and sits by me in 2 of them.
- My locker is hard to open.
- I get lost sometimes.
Well except for those dislikes schools is pretty good and I enjoy going to Swim practice right after school. :)

I Need Opinions : )
Hello Everyone, Sorry I have not blogged for a while I am going to do better but I have added quotes at the bottom of this page so if you would like to check them out be my guest. Okay , so I have a question for you friends/ and family that read my blog. Well whenever I am deep in thought and am thinking about something so I am just not very talkative my dad always thinks there is something wrong. When I ask him why he thinks that he says " Well normally you would be a hyper spastic person that is so full of energy that they are bouncing off walls." Well my question is am I really hyper? Like my dad says? ( And all the time like he says) Leave a comment and tell me what you think. Remember this is just an opinion and I am ok with being hyper active if that is really how I am because I like being me : )

Swimming With The Kids!
So this afternoon Jensen, Andrea and I decided to go swimming. I was down in my room getting ready when Carson comes down with his swimming suit in hand and says " Eece you hep me get my wimmin uit on? " Well the only problem was we were not planning on taking him since my mom was not going to go with us. So we decided to let him tag along. Well we went swimming for about an hour and then I took him and Andrea in the girls dressing room/bathroom with me to get ready to leave . Well Carson, decided he did not want to go home. I sat down and took off his life jacket and was working on Andrea's when he made a B-line for the door to the pool. I caught him just in time and asked " Carson, where are you going? "He then replied in his most grown up voice " Eece I am doing to doe back wimmin." I answered him trying to hold back the laughs by saying " O no your not you are going to get in the shower with us and then get dressed." He then stated " NO EECE! Let me go wimmin or you will get shot" and held up his fingers to make the shape of a gun. I calmly replied Carson if you don't get ready you won't be able to come back anymore." After that he gave up and said " O all wite but you is till gonna get shot. ( He then fake shot me making a gun noise with his mouth.)
I love him! But the best part is all the cute cheesy things he comes up with.

Then last but not least we danced to Against The Grain by Garth Brooks. The bad news is it rained all day long Non-Stop till 2:00 o'clock. The good news is we got an over all high score trophy in Against The Grain.

Better Late Than Never!
Well, it has been two months since this happened so I am a little bit behind, but like I said better late than never. My sister Andrea and I had a dance competition down at Thanksgiving Point. At about 5:30 on a Saturday morning we got up, finished loading the car and drove down to Thanksgiving Point. ( Just my parents, Andrea and me). The boys were with my grandma and grandpa Anderson.) So at about 7:30 we arrived .
We walked in to the show barn where we would be performing and found a seat to sit down. We picked up a program and saw that Andrea's duet with her friend Emery had been moved from 9:15 to 10:15. So we sat there and and waited for them to go on stage. They did SO good. For two 6 year olds a Third Place ( Which is what they got) is AWESOME.
Then I had 3 dances to do. My first one was not untill 3:00, so we left with Aunt Liz who had met us there and went to Cabella's and ate at the grill they have there. Then we looked at guns and camping gear while Liz and I were teasing each other that the moose heads on the wall were us. ( Ha Ha ) Then we went shopping in American Fork at Target, Dollar Tree, and Famous Footwear.
After that we drove back to the competition and my coach Emily helped me review for my freestyle. For those of you who may not know a free style is when you make up a dance to 6 counts of 8 and you are judged on how well you can stay with the music. I went on stage and competed. So, one down two more to go.
I took a first in freestyle which I am so happy because there is a possibility that Emily is going to help me get ready to move up from the Intermediate level to the Advanced level. Yeah! When I walked off stage my mom met me with my other costume in hand and we ran off to the dressing room. After I had changed, I found my coach and team and we went to practice our dance "Girlfriend." We competed that and received 1st place. We are moving up from Intermediate to Advanced. My parents then took Andrea and I to Cafe Rio and I got a chicken salad that gave me energy to hurry back and compete my last dance at 7:15 in the Advanced level which is "Country Roads." We took 3rd place and we were happy with it because if we got all 1st places, we wouldn't have anything to improve on.
Although I was tired and slept very well that night, it was fun and my sister and I did what we both LOVE to do....... DANCE like we never dreamed we could.
We both wouldn't have been able to do this without our teams, our coach, our grandparents, and last but not least our parents. Thanks!
